About KNR Couriers

KNR Couriers was founded in February of 1998 by Art Keener and now wife Christine Rongstad. KNR literally means Keener-n-Rongstad, or Keener (absent some Es). Art had worked for both large and small messenger companies for a couple of years and learned the advantages and disadvantages of each type of company. Armed with this knowledge and a strong work ethic, Art and Chris decided that they would take a chance and start their own company that would strive to be the most reliable, friendly and fairly priced messenger company in Seattle. With Chris' strong accounting skills and armed with a typewriter for billing (yes, a typewriter!) and Art with his love of riding a bike for hundreds of miles a week, KNR was born. Companies who gave KNR a chance were so impressed by the great service they were receiving that they decided to tell two friends, who in turn told two friends…and so on and so on and so on (you know like the shampoo commercial from the 70's). Now, KNR's client base has grown and the clients’ needs have become more diverse and complex, so KNR has evolved (no more biking to Tacoma for Art) and now utilizes motorcycles, cars, vans, and of course bikes, all driven by, or pedaled by, the best couriers in Seattle.
